Trying to hire a developer for your website is extremely difficult—especially if you don’t know the language. How can you assess the skill or quality of a potential employee if they could possibly B.S. their way through the whole interview? Exactly our problem.

Luckily, hackathons were created as a solution for just this problem. A marathon programming session, hackathons are the rock ‘n’ roll equivalent of a jam session. They allow hiring employers to go and check out the skills of not only programmers but also coders and designers. After the hacking has finished, employers go in and mingle.
