If you’ve personally witnessed a customer ripping an innocent salesperson to pieces, you know where we’re going with this. Watching that quivering 23-year-old try trying to deal with the issue, you stand there, mentally commentating on how it should be handled versus how they are handling it.
On the flip side, many of us have also had to try to tame a wild beast of a customer. And it’s tricky. Be too calm and they think you’re not empathizing with them and they get mad.
