You know your industry like the back of your hand. You could easily recite 20 things that your average joe knows nothing about. And yet, here you sit. Dumbfounded by one of nature’s cruelest tricks. You, friend, have writer’s block. It’s the pits, isn’t it? Well, good news. There are a few great tricks to help you get over that hump and back to your word-smithing self. (You can thank us later.)

Trick one? Get away from the gadgets. Yes, we mean all of them. Cell phones and laptops included. We know it might take a high-security vault and a restraining device, but trust us, the world can live without being connected to you  24/7 for a couple of days—no offense. Take this time as a cleansing period and go do something technology free like fishing or sipping coffee in a park. Doesn’t sound so bad, now does it?
